Series What am I? Number 5

I am a fairly small object about the size of a banana.  I have a smooth, shiny surface and am usually a dark shade of gray or black.  Watch out! I can be dangerous.  You can feed me shiny, metal food, but be careful because I may just spit it back out if Mrs. Newingham tells me to do so.   On some days I am not used at all, but on Mondays I am almost always put to work!  Without me, important notes would not stick together!  Sometimes I get very angry when people are not careful with me.  My back is often sore after being used for long periods of time.  I am a teacher’s friend, but a paper’s enemy.
